Responsibilities:
· Design and documentation of assigned project components based on the specified architecture and in compliance with the defined development process.
· Correct and Process compliant realization of the assigned project components according to the defined development methodology and other standards (e.g., style guide, programming guidelines, etc.) as required by the quality.
· Participation in reviews under review planning
· To ensure the implementation of all relevant project requirements (functional and non functional)
· Process oriented management of project components in the defined configuration management system in accordance with CM Plan
· Implementation and documentation of the module and functional testing and regression testing where appropriate, to the responsible project components according to predetermined criteria and the specified test cases
· Where appropriate, implementation and documentation of the integration tests in accordance with predetermined criteria and the specified test cases
· Introduction of corrections of errors and their verification of the integration and system testing in the unique components
· Work with users to discuss on the issues faced and resolve them.
Requirements:
· Working knowledge of Java, HTML/JavaScript and a good understanding of programming and programming language concepts.
· Familiarity with development paradigms, tools and frameworks
· Specific knowledge of Java EE and other popular frameworks and platforms such as Spring, Hibernate, PHP, Rails, Grails, Guice, GWT, Eclipse/NetBeans RCP, etc
· Prior working knowledge of Application Server, Eclipse IDE, Coherence, Glassfish, NetBeans and the Java Virtual Machine (HotSpot and/or JRockit) would be an advantage
· Strong understanding of network communication, threading, security, persistence, software architecture, web technologies, SOA and web service
· Bachelor or master degree in computer science or in an engineering discipline
· At least 3 years (7 years for Senior Engineer) of hands on development and design experience in the technical areas mentioned above
· Willingness to travel within China for project work (e.g. in Shanghai or Beijing for 3-6 months)
· Ability to lead a development team in Wuhan at later stage would be an advantage (for the Senior Engineer)
· Fluent English is considered a big plus
