职位描述:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILIES:
1.Provide direction and leadership to the braking production team and support the Plant Manager in the day to
 day braking business at the site.
2.Partner with Product Management to rank customer and market requirements.
3.Define priorities and manage resources as appropriate across projects; handle multiple concurrent projects,
 delivering to time and budget commitments.
4.Act as a proactive strategic resource to general manager to identify, plan and implement product
 design/improvement initiatives.
5.Align plant braking production objectives with overall AP business unit strategy.
6.Ensure production volume, cost and quality of production, and production schedules are met.
7. Provide leadership and set standards for performance in the area of braking production, periodically review
 reports on department performance and key business indicators.
8. Assist Plant Manager in developing braking business opportunities and operational strategies to maximize
 growth and profitability. Prepare and present operating and capital expenditure budgets to the plant manager
 for approval.
9. Continually seek improved methods with a view to reduce costs, improve service level and reduce
 operational risk.
10.Ensure compliance to all  Legal & Ethical Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
11.Participate in weekly CQA (Commercial meetings, weekly reviews with program management / purchasing
 on project progress.
12.Participate in out of hours meetings to other countries' time zones.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Educational: Recognized University Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering, Business Administration.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of operational experience in automotive industry.
- Previous management experience is an added advantage.
- Experience in customer driven operations (Quality standards, etc).
- Operations and Engineering experience a high volume braking/mechanic manufacturer.
 
KEY COMPETENCIES:
1.Good understanding and implementation of Quality Systems (QS9000/TS16949) including Environmental standards.
2.Lead meetings effectively and encourage group participation.
3.Results oriented (performance driven).
4.Adaptability - be able to adapt to varying time constraints, resource levels and organizational situations.
5.Fluent in English.
6.Financial acumen - draft strategic plan, business case.
