Responsibilities will include:
• Participating in the span of the entire software product lifecycle and including requirements analysis, feature specification, design, implementation, unit test, verification support, system integration and maintenance;
• Interpreting product requirements;
• Contributing to software specification (technical, scheduling, resourcing);
• Use of the appropriate software tools to implement product design changes;
• Working cross-functionally with other teams to understand and respond to their requirements.
The successful candidates will possess:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science coupled with at least 5+ years’ experience developing management software for communications equipment, Layer2/3 switch chip diver or platform software;
• C/C++ programming for embedded systems;
• QNX and/or POSIX operating systems;
• Device OAM (Operation, Administration and Management) software;
• Multithreaded design and programming;
• Carrier-grade system requirements;
• Direct experience in most of the following:
o SNMP or TL1 management interfaces;
o Layer2/Layer3 carrier Ethernet access/switch systems;
o 1G/10G Ethernet, SONET, OTN, TCP/IP
o Layer2 control protocols, STP/RSTP/MSTP, GARP, GVRP, ERPS, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills in English;
• Enthusiasm and a personal drive to succeed;
• Ability to work independently and creatively when blocked. |
