SUMMARY
As an Account Manager you will be responsible for promoting products, prospecting for new business, providing program leadership, and liaising between clients and the organization with direction and guidance from  senior leadership.

Task Description
Sales Activities:
1 Prospects, qualifies, and pursues sales opportunities within existing and new accounts within a defined area.
2 Responsible for reviewing requests for quotes and leading efforts to gather incomplete documentation.
3 Prepares pricing proposals and quotations for validity of costing with influence and guidance from senior leadership
4 Assists senior leadership in the successful close of sales by promoting current product and conveying the future vision and viability of the company.
5 Forecasts and provides reports to management concerning market information, trends, and customer needs and wants.

Liaison:
6 Liaises with customers' purchasing and engineering departments to obtain information on new initiatives and changes.
7 Reports problems encountered at the customer and leads corrective actions.
8 Liaises with other automotive parts suppliers to monitor market competition and to identify market opportunities.
9 Communicates with  facilities to understand and help resolve quality, production and shipping issues.
10 Keeps the customer informed at all stages of production.
11 Liaison between  Industries Inc. and customer for cost reduction activities.
12 Works with Tier II suppliers to support customer programs as needed.

Customer Service:
13 Ensures customer needs and concerns are met by monitoring contracts, investigating situations and reports, planning or otherwise initiating corrective actions.
14 Advises customers of potential supply or quality problems and actions being taken to resolve problems.
15 Visits the customer on site to provide personal attention to challenges.
Program Leadership:
16 Participates in developing strategy.
17 Provides feedback on commercial feasibility of new product designs and concepts.
18 Supports program launch team by addressing commercial issues with internal and external contacts.

Other:
19 Applies the principles of Participative Management.
20 Supports the principles of Scanlon and participation in the Continuous Improvement initiatives.
21 Complies with company policies and procedures.
22 Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
·BA in Business or related field preferred
·5 years experience in automotive Sales/Marketing
·Experience in Account Management field an asset.
·Must be customer focused with strong problem solving skills
·Must have strong communication skills
·Must have experience in the automotive industry with preference for experience with iron cast manifolds
·Able to travel locally as well as internationally
