Responsibilities:
· Uses established Revenue Cycle processes in the collection and distribution of patient data to the client while ensuring the integrity of information utilized for coding, billing, and accurate claims submission.
· Acts as a knowledgeable resource for the hospital and associated clinical departments during all hours of operation for patient financial issues related to registration, patient financial education/assistance; billing and collections activities;
· Works with the client to resolve routine patient financial issues.
· Documents patient contact, insurance and collection activities in the patient accounting system.
· Follows state/federal guidelines in compliance with HIPAA privacy practice standards and patient consents.
· Meets all customer service expectations established by the client.
· Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of healthcare revenue processes and proficiency in multiple department areas.
Requirements
· Associate degree or above
· 2 years working experience in relevant industry
· Good communication skills
· Must be able to read and write English
