The Sr. Software Engineer’s primary duties would include:
· Prepare detailed program specifications / requirements
· Independently develop one or more modules from specifications
· Mentoring of software development to junior developers
· Perform peer review / participate in code walkthrough
· Follow traceability matrix for functionality
· Communicate the status of assigned tasks to reporting manager
· Document program specifications
· Perform unit tests (including test case development, review & execution)
· Understand configuration control – check-in / check-out mechanism
· Apply relevant software engineering processes (reviews, testing, defect management, configuration management, release management
Candidate Profile:
Basic Requirements:
· The candidates’ technical background should include:
o 4 years and up for strong, hands-on Java development experience
o 2 years hands-on experience of core J2EE design patterns
o 3 years hands-on experience with writing and using JUnit
o Also in XML/XSD, Spring Framework, JDBC, TX Management, Hibernate, Eclipse IDE, and SQL
· The candidates should also have skills in UI:
o JS
o JSP
o Struts2
o Ajax
· Communication Skills in English
Advanced Skills:
· It will be a plus for candidates to have the skills in:
o SoapUI
o EasyMock
o AppServer
o ANT
o XMLBeans
o JMS
o JMX
· Team-work oriented
· Self-motivated
