Job Summary

• The Application Developer will work in a team environment as a technologist.
• The role will design, develop and build high quality web applications, as well as enhance and maintain existing applications.
• The role operates in an Agile/scrum environment and requires an excellent understanding of the full software lifecycle, including functional requirement gathering, design and development, testing of software applications and documenting requirements and technical specifications. 5+ years professional development experience to step in as a productive contributor and innovator to a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Create well written design documentation from business requirements, and communicate well to all levels.
• Act as the technical Developer for initiatives and projects as assigned
• May need to rapidly produce interim deliverables (such as style guide components, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc.) in addition to the final live site or application. Might be required to participate in writing detailed level technical and functional specifications documentation. Take initiative to research and learn emerging technologies.
• Collaborate UX design, wire frames, etc.

Qualifications:

• Education B.S. Degree required.
•  Experience 5+ years of IT experience and Application Development. Minimum 3+ years of web Application Development experience using java and or objective C.
• Experience as a lead developer, working with onsite and remote team members in a matrix environment. Experience working with internal and external customers.
• Experience working with UX design, wire frames, illustrations, prototyping.
• Previous experience supporting complex projects with complicated business drivers and multiple stakeholders Extensive Experience in: · Web Application development experience using Java J2EE using JSP, Javascript, HTML and MVC frameworks · using frameworks such as Spring MVC, Struts, etc. · XML/XSLT/XPath, Web Services (REST) · UX design for web · any of the following App Servers: Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, or Websphere Exposure / some experience in: · Data-modeling and database design skills with any of the following databases: Oracle, MySQL or SQL Server Experience in the following is a plus: · CSS, HTML5 skills.
• Competencies Must have developed skills in Java, HTML5, Spring MVC, XHTML, XML. Requires a thorough understanding of web security concepts,.
• A team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• The person should be able to work closely with customers (internal and external), as well as onsite and offshore team members. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and customer relationship building.
• Requires an excellent understanding of the full software lifecycle, including functional requirement gathering, design and development, testing of software applications and documenting requirements and technical specifications and the ability to work with BA's, architects and system analysts.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining high quality of deliverables.
• Solid understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to act as technical lead and lead developer for assigned projects.
